With almost 40 years in the financial services profession, Lou brings his wealth of knowledge and life experiences to the Wyndham Group. Hard work and exceptional service have always defined Lou’s career and he now serves his clients with these same principles as an integral part of the Wyndham team.

Pilot, negotiator, builder, CEO, author, and advisor. All of these describe Lou’s rich and varied life, detailed in his autobiography, “Dreamers Refuse to be Victims.” Born in Prague (then Czechoslovakia) just before WWII, Lou and his family escaped the Holocaust and charted a new beginning in Canada. Lou embraced each opportunity, made new friends, and played leadership roles.  Early highlights include being chosen as a member of the Canadian All Weather Fighter Squadron based in Quebec, and his long tenure as an Air Canada navigator and pilot.

In the financial sphere, Lou was the founder of Admax International Investments, a mutual fund company recognized in 1994 and 1995 as managers of the #1 fund in Canada. The company was acquired by the global mutual fund giant INVESCO and Lou stayed on as the CEO of INVESCO Canada. Since then, Lou has focused on serving individual clients and their families. He has maintained long term relationships with his clients at different firms including bank-owned and independent firms. With Lou’s decision to join the Wyndham Group, he continues his tradition of expert advice and exceptional service.

Lou and his wife Catherine have shared their journey for the past 63 years. Their life outside of work centres on their daughters, Linda and Elizabeth, and their families. In the community, Lou is an active supporter of Kiwanas Operation Drug Alert. He is an avid soccer fan, skier and golfer.
